Round 4 Winchell’s Division: #BestCopTVShow

Over the past couple of months, I’ve compiled a list of 64 TV shows from you, my readers.  They have been broken down into four divisions randomly.  If your favorite is missing, you’ve no one to blame but yourself.

Without further ado:

1. In the Heat of the Night (1988-1995).  In Sparta, Mississippi, a crusty Police Chief (later Sheriff) and his African American Chief Detective investigate crimes.

2. Police Squad (1982).  Sight-gags and non-sequiturs dominate this spoof of police dramas. The six episodes formed the basis for later very successful “Naked Gun” movies.

3. Blue Thunder (1984). An advanced prototype police helicopter and their ground support crew battle crime.  Dana Carvey starred in this.  Yes, that Dana Carvey.

4. Gunsmoke (1955-1975). Marshal Matt Dillon keeps the peace in the rough and tumble Dodge City.

Only one of these four will advance to the Savory Sixteen.  Voting for first round of the Winchell’s Division will end today at 1500 hrs. Left Coast time.

I’d love to see this tournament all over social media! Please share at will on your various social media homes! Just make sure folks come back here to vote!
