Round 1 Tim Horton’s Division: #BestCopTVShow

Over the past couple of months, I’ve compiled a list of 64 TV shows from you, my readers.  They have been broken down into four divisions randomly.  If your favorite is missing, you’ve no one to blame but yourself.

Without further ado:

1. Cagney & Lacey (1981-1988).  Two female police detectives cooperate with each other both in their professions and in their personal lives.

2. SWAT (1975-1976). This series features the missions of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics team. They are a team of highly trained and heavily armed police officers who’s purpose is to make coordinated assaults on armed and dangerous criminals in sensitive situations and defensible locations.

3. Baretta (1975-1978). Tony Baretta is a street-smart, maverick undercover cop with the NYPD, who won’t hesitate for a second to toss the rule book out the window if it stands between himself and taking some bad guy off the street. His unconventional methods often land him in hot water with his boss (Inspector Schiller, later Lt. Brubaker), but as long as Baretta was getting the job done, there wasn’t much they could do.

4. Pacific Blue (1996-2000). This flashy cop series is all about the bicycle patrol of the Santa Monica Police Department, in which the officers and their flashy equipment are as young and casual as their work area, mainly the beach, and as agile and well-trained on their bikes as traditional mounted police on horseback.  This show was on for five seasons and may well have been mentioned in the book of Revelations as one of the signs of the end of times.

Only one of these four will advance to the Savory Sixteen.  Voting for first round of the Winchell’s Division will end today at 2300 hrs. Left Coast time.

I’d love to see this tournament all over social media! Please share at will on your various social media homes! Just make sure folks come back here to vote!
