Audio Crossover

Our buddy, Happy Medic, and I are trying something a little bit different for our next iteration of “The Crossover”. You’ll forgive me if this doesn’t work properly…I’m trying to figure out if the audio file will work correctly.

If all goes as planned, you should hear about a 30 minute back and forth between yours truly and HM. If it doesn’t go as planned, blame Canada. (Just trying to get a rise out of a select reader…)
Please to (God willing) enjoy…

  1. It should be noted that our training days are broken up into three eight hour blocks for a total of 24 hours.

That's what I was thinking when I said "eight training days". I meant "three eight hour training days".

Just to make sure I'm accurate…

  2. Any way you guys could have some live commenting going on next time? As I was listening, I kept thinking about things that I wanted to say or ask…some got answered, some didn't.

Otherwise it was very much enjoyed – entertaining and informative.

  3. Hey MotorCop and the HappyMedic, a very enjoyable half hour. Amazing how much you don't know about what the other does!!! I look forward to the next audio edition!!

HM, all I can say is if you don't like the law, get it changed. I'm sure MC would have a few ideas!!

Oh BTW since the audio worked just fine, Canada is more than happy to take credit for it.

Look forward to hearing you again very soon!!!

  4. That was great guys. Humorously informative with what seemed a very quick 30 minutes. Of course you know what I'm going to say next … more please.

  5. I had a question I was thinking of, and you kind of touched on it, but I'd appreciate any elaboration you'd care to provide. Are the police required to respond to every call that comes in, no matter how frivolous? A few months ago, I was riding with several friends fairly late at night, and there was a guy walking down the middle of the road shouting at traffic. My sister called it in because she didn't want anyone to get hurt, and the dispatcher just said it wasn't illegal. Would anyone have been dispatched for that? If the dispatch was sent out, could the officers basically ignore the call?

  6. I'll have to come back and listen again when I have a full thirty minutes to devote but I must note that HappyMedic sounds exactly like an ex boyfriend of mine….

  7. I think it'd be really cool if you guys did a podcast, whether it was together or separate. Not only do I find both of your careers to be interesting enough to get into myself, but you also have amusing stories that I think would be great for road trips. Just a thought. 🙂

  8. Now MC, if you are going to Blame Canada, you should at least sing the whole song for us!

  9. Nice crossover!

I wonder if Happy Medic and MotorCop are thinking about becoming the west coast version of Firefighter Netcast? (Rhett and John)

  10. You need to cross over with dispatcher.. and officer says.. Him also.. He was a paramedic turned officer!!
